I had mixed feelings about the book. I liked the book because it had knights, weapons and a legend. The book was too short. I usually read books that have more chapters. The book got me hooked on it. I wish there was a second part to it.
My favorite character is Brian, William’s guard. He doesn’t care what William does. If only my grandma didn’t care what I did, life would be much easier. Brian is glad William is trying to defeat Alastor, an evil wizard who took over Sir Simon’s Kingdom.
My favorite scene is when William fights Calendar’s cat that got transformed by Alastor into a hideous dragon. The only way to destroy the dragon is to look in it’s eyes and stab him in the right thigh, but if you look away you are D-E-A-D dead! William saw horrible scenes in the eyes, which are why people want to look away from the dragon’s eyes. William didn’t look back because he knew that the images weren’t real. He successfully defeated the dragon without a scratch on him.
Mrs. Winthrop! Why write about castles? Why not animals or robots? Why did you write about a spell that turn people to lead? Why not a spell that turns people to gold or silver?
