The Castle in the Attic was a great book. Elizabeth Winthrop used expressive and descriptive language. There was a lot of excitement in the book and that was why I wanted to keep reading. Everytime my teacher, Ms. Nixon, stopped the tape, I was eager to go on. I also liked the way the author put words together to put an image in your imagination. My favorite scene was when William received the castle. This scene because everyone was happy. I also like this scene because it started the whole book off. The end the book was great. One of my other favorite scenes is when William defeats the wizard and the dragon. Mrs. Winthrop, what part of the book, The Castle in the Attic, do you like the best?
My favorite character is William. William has an ability to do something and stick with it. I think everybody should have the ability to do the same thing. I think he has this ability because he wanted to go back home to the castle when he was going up to the dragon. When he went turned around he came to think of all of the bad qualities and thought of Mrs. Phillips being small forever. Then he would also be small forever. He also thought that he had come all the way and he was determined to defeat the dragon. William stuck with his plan and defeated the dragon and the wizard, Alastor.
