NEWSLETTER #3 - June 1999
Hi, Kids:
This is a short newsletter to wish you a happy summer! I hope that you take time to dream outrageous dreams, kick a ball around a field, stare at the night sky and play in water be it swimming pools or playground fountains or backyard hoses. Write in a journal only if the mood strikes you... read books only if you feel like it. (Save those summer reading lists for the last minute the way I did!) Summer is a time to re-charge and turn off your brain.
Here's what I'll be doing. First, I'll be writing my autobiography for a reference book called SOMETHING ABOUT THE AUTHOR put out by Gale Publications. That should be fun because all the research is inside of me, in my memories. Besides that, I have a few picture book ideas dancing around inside of my head and I'm starting another novel for adults that may take place in France and England. But who knows? By the end of a dreamy summer, I may be following some other road. That's what dreaming does for you ...it leads you down unexpected paths.
Drop in on the website and leave me a message if you feel like it....
Happy hot days! Talk to you in the fall...
Elizabeth Winthrop
